Chelsea L. James
Chelsea was born and raised in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She attended Louisiana State University, where she received a BA in History and Political Science with a minor in German. Chelsea earned her Juris Doctorate from Florida Coastal School of Law, with certificates in Civil Litigation, Legal Research, Writing, and Drafting, as well as, Government and Public Interest Law. She was a National Moot Court Champion and received numerous awards for advocacy, writing, and pro bono work.
Chelsea developed an interest in personal injury law while working for a Law Firm in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Chelsea finds personal injury law personally fulfilling and enjoys working with clients. She gets to help clients who come to us after an accident, that are typically confused, concerned, and have no idea what the next step is. Chelsea enjoys being able to assist clients by explaining the process and taking the burden from the client in regard to worrying about their claim. Chelsea’s main goal is for the client to only worry about going to the doctor and focusing on getting better.
My wife was rear ended while standing still in traffic and sustained serious injury to her neck. The other party's insurance company tried to take her to the cleaners in so many ways, (disgusting). But Lynn Shackow and her dad were able to get us a reasonable settlement after much haggling back and forth with the other party's insurance company. We thank God for them, they were of great help to us. As far as our overall experience with auto insurance companies, let's just say, everything negative you've ever heard about them is probably true. We hope to never have to deal with them again, but if we do we will definitely have Shackow & Mercadante, P.A. on our side to fight for us.
